Classic makes notification banners similarly to their previous ones prior to iOS 10
iOS 10 has been rolled out with redesigned notification banners which are totally different from those of the versions iOS 7, 8, and 9.
Similar to quite many others in previously versions of iOS, it is likely that you miss the way notifications, so a new free jailbreak tweak dubbed Classic by nathanaccidentally will be a good choice for you. As soon as Classic is installed on your device, there will be a series of options to alter the look of your notification banners. In fact, Classic can have effects on banner notifications via iOS. Apart from changing how things look on the Lock screen, the tweak can alter your Notification Center and system-wide notification banners. In other words, a preference pane will be put in the Settings app, so you are able to configure your favorite banner notification aesthetics.
Specifically, you not only toggle the tweak on or off but also enable the white blur effect or make banners transparent. Besides, it is possible for you to hide or show the notification banner header, along with configuring a custom cell line amount. More interestingly, you can enable iOS 10.1.1 or iOS 10.2 mode, up to you. In addition, you will be offered with a respring button in the preferences pane to save your changes.
However, you should take notice that notifications in iOS 10.1.1 may be not similar to those in iOS 10.2. That is why you are advised to turn on the “10.1.1” switch in case you use iOS 10.1.1. If you use iOS 10.2, you turn this switch off. Thanks to Classic, notification banners will be made squarer, compared to that out of the box on iOS 10. Although this replication is not perfect, it partly resembles its previous version.
Lastly, because of Classic’s aesthetic changes, some people may be in favor of it while others are not. It depends on your liking, so if you are keen on experiencing the tweak, you can download freely from Cydia’s BigBoss repository. Classic is compatible with all jailbroken iOS 10 devices.
