How to prepare for Gen 3 and Gen 4 in Pokémon Go

Regardless of the recent launch of Pokémon Gen 2, you can begin preparing for Gen 3 and Gen 4 in Pokémon Go as soon as possible. The reason is that Gen 3 is now designed like a departure. As to Gen 4, it is said to come with a bigger and better stage for the super-evolutions.

As you might know, it took 8 months to access Gen 2 and this time you need to wait for until the last months of 2017 to see Gen 3 (longer with Gen 4). Nevertheless, if you would like to stack up high stat (IV) Pokémon and store up on Candy in anticipation, you can take a closer look at our descriptions.

Needed Gen 1 Pokémon to get new evolutions in Gen 3 and Gen 4

For the fact that no new evolution has been made for existing Pokémon in Gen 3, you need to complete the list of Gen 1 Candy you wish to collect for Gen 4. They include: Magnemite to evolve Magneton into Magnazone, Lickitung to evolve into Lickilicky, Rhynhorn to evolve into Rhyperior, Tangela to evolve into Tangrowth, Elekid to evolve Electabuzz into Electivire. Besides, you also need Magby to evolve Magmar into Magmortar, Eevee to evolve into Leafeon and Glaceon (Split), and lastly Porygon to evolve Porygon2 into Porygon-Z.

Needed Gen 2 Pokémon to get new evolutions in Gen 3 and Gen 4

You should notice that there are still no Gen 3 evolutions for Gen 2 Pokémon; however, you need to collect the Gen 2 Candy as below. They consist of Aipom to evolve into Ambipom, Yanma to evolve into Yanmega, Murkrow to evolve into Honchkrow together with Misdreavus to evolve into Mismagius. Moreover, it cannot be without Gligar to evolve into Gliscor, Sneasel to evolve into Weavile, Swinub to evolve Piloswine into Mamoswine, and Togetic to evolve into Togekiss.

In case Pokémon Gen 3 and Gen 4 imitate Gen 2, it is unnecessary to make use of Candy** to evolve the new babies. Instead of that, Pokémon Eggs is needed.
